A check of area lakes in northeast Tenn today yielded a few ducks &
other waterbirds (plus bobwhites, which are scarce in recent years).

Pied-billed Grebe - max 21 (SHL)
Eared Grebe - 6  (SHL)
Dbl-cr Cormorant - 3 (BL), 5 (SHL)
Gadwall - 5 (BL), 9 (SHL)
Am. Wigeon - 28 (weir)
Am. Black Duck - 1 (weir)
Mallard - max 100 (weir)
N. Shoveler - 1 (SHL)
Blue-wg. Teal - 1 (ML)
Ring-nk. Duck - 1 (ML), 2 (weir)
Greater Scaup - 1 f  (weir)
Lesser Scaup - 6 (BL)
Bufflehead - 2 (BL), 7 (weir), 1 (SHL)
Hooded Merganser - 2 (ML), 3 (weir)
Ruddy Duck - 3 (BL), 1 (ML), 5 (SHL)
Bald Eagle - 1 ad (BL)
N. Bobwhite - 7 (BL)
Am. Coot - 170 (BL), 100 (SHL)
Gr. Yellowlegs - 1 (BL)
Bonaparte's Gull - 16 (BL), 4 (SHL)
Ring-billed Gull - 10 (BL), 10 (SHL)
