Yesterday we had at least 25 American Robins in our native holly
trees. This morning they have been crowding into the bird bath.
We also continue to have about 100 Pine Siskins come to the thistle
feeders several times a day. There are a few American Goldfinches
mixed in but not nearly as many as we have had in past years.
We had six juncos feeding on the ground during the days with snow on
the ground.
Also on Dec. 24 and 25 and one day the next week (sorry for the late
posting) we had an adult Bald Eagle on our section of the South
Holston River (below Boy Island). A great Christmas gift -- this is
our first sighting of the eagle here.
