[Bristol-Birds] outer banks under water, 6 Mallard ducklings

Musick's Campground
South Holston Lake
Sullivan Co., TN
23 April 2005
The "outer banks" was under water tonight. Only the tops of bushes and few
large pieces of driftwood visible. The curving rock drive out to the water's
edge is going under in a few days. I drove out and couldn't turn around. Had
to back out.

Pair of adult Mallards with six ducklings (my first young for this breeding
season)
Bonaparte's Gull - 1 (maybe close to the last for this spring)
Ring-billed Gulls ~55 (numbers continue to dwindle)

Let's go birding.....
