A co worker gave me a tip on some birds at the Vulcan sand dredging operation
on the Nolichucky River below Bird's Bridge. I checked it out briefly today
and found Bank Swallows nesting at the top of the sand stockpile. I couldn't
remember if they had been reported yet, so I'm posting this just in case. I
only saw a few nest holes and birds going in and out. I'll try to get some
firm numbers later.
