Riverfront Restaurant
Kingsport, Sullivan Co., TN
8-9 am
A Yellow-throated Warbler is still present under the bridge at
Riverfront Restaurant. If the current cold front didn't drive this bird
off, its likely it will stay around most of the winter. I was a little
surprised to see this bird land on the side of one of the bridge
supports, woodpecker style, and work its way up to the top where it
grabbed a bit of fluff caught in a spider web before flying off.
Also present:
1 - Spotted Sandpiper
2 - Northern Flicker
1 - Eastern Phoebe ( the only bird that was fluffed up against the cold)
2 - Carolina Chickadee
1 - Palm Warbler (maybe two)
7 - Yellow-rumped Warbler
2 - Song Sparrow
4 - American Goldfinch
Plus the usual Canadas and Mallards.
