[Bristol-Birds] Winter Wren, etc. (Greene Co., TN)

October 13, 2005

Greene Co., TN

Before going to work this morning, I hit a few birding spots just outside Greeneville and found a nice little grouping of winter residents on Sanders Road: Ruby-crowned Kinglet (calling), Hermit Thrush (calling loudly), Winter Wren (first of fall; calling and showing itself in a honeysuckle tangle), and Yellow-rumped Warbler (calling while feeding in a roadside sapling).
