On 11/28/02 at Wilbur Lake, in addition to the many Buffleheads, Canada Geese
and Mallards, there were 22 Ring-necked Ducks, 2 Lesser Scaups and a female
Hooded Merganser. Down river there was Common Snipe.
The old theater building at the VA in Johnson City that is home to Barn Owls is
undergoing some renovations. The eaves are being replaced by less user friendly
structures that leave no perch space. From what I observed today it is possible
that some measures are being taken to leave some perch space for the owls. I'm
not sure.
The Rufous Hummingbird is still comming to my feeder.
