After seeing Rick Knight's post of birds observed in western Washington County
earlier today, I made a brief trip to Precision Boulevard late this afternoon
and found the following:
White-rumped Sandpiper (3, still present at 5:30)
Loggerhead Shrike (1, carrying nesting material to a sapling alongside the
driveway that leads up the hill to Nakatetsu Machining Technologies; I drove up
the driveway to get a closer look; without leaving the car, I looked into the
tree with binos and found the nest, which appeared to be in an advanced stage
of construction)
Warbling Vireo (1, singing in a mature tree at "Bush Hog Pond")
