Wal-Mart Distribution Center (WMDC) and various backroad sites in southern and western Greene County;
Tusculum area, near Greeneville

I observed the following today, mostly during morning in the western part of the county:

Canada Goose (173);
Gadwall (13);
American Wigeon (10 WMDC);
American Black Duck (12);
Mallard (456);
Northern Shoveler (20);
Northern Pintail (17 WMDC);
Green-winged Teal (35 WMDC);
Ring-necked Duck (8);
Greater Scaup (Highway 340 adjacent to Turner Lane);
Hooded Merganser (2);
Great Blue Heron (8);
Black Vulture (39);
Turkey Vulture (59);
Northern Harrier (3);
Sharp-shinned Hawk (Lauderdale Road);
Cooper's Hawk;
Red-tailed Hawk (13);
American Kestrel (20);
American Coot (4 WMDC);
Eurasian Collared-Dove (2 adjacent to West Greene High School; 19th consecutive month at this site);
Red-headed Woodpecker (6 Green Road);
Horned Lark (23);
American Pipit (7);
Palm Warbler (WMDC);
Savannah Sparrow (5).
