This Sat morning (July 19) I did a little bit of birding in lower Washington
Co, TN before the heat took over. Nothing of note but a few sightings listed
below.
Loggerhead Shrike -- Clarke Road (probably same bird that has been around
O.J.Campbell road)
Common Raven -- intersection of Corby Bridge Road & State Route 34, I have seen
a Raven in this
general area off & on through out the past 6 weeks ??????
Tree Swallows -- Starting to gather up around small farm lot ponds.
Dickcissels -- apparently all gone from Keebler Road fields.
No shorebirds were found but plenty of Killdeer.
Eurasian Collard Dove -- at least 2 on Smithdale Road
Other Birds of interest:
Blue Grosbeak
Northern Oriole (family group)
Green Heron
Grt. Blue Heron
Common Yellowthroat
Indigo Bunting
Field Sparrow
Glen Eller
Fall Branch
