[bristol-birds] Warblers back in Buchanan/Dickenson Counties

Bristol Birders,
        My wife and I spent the weekend birding the Breaks
Interstate Park in Dickenson Co. and other locations around Buchanan
County looking for spring arrivals.  We were not disappointed - the
warblers have returned!

Saturday April 13, 2002:

Conaway Gap - Buchanan County:
Brown Thrasher                          2
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher                   1
Black-throated Green Warbler    1 (heard only)

Breaks Interstate Park - Dickenson County:
Black-and-white Warbler         8 (4 seen, 4 heard)
Black-throated Green Warbler            9 (1 seen, 8 heard)
Worm-eating Warbler             1
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher           3
Yellow-throated Warbler         2
Osprey                          1

Poplar Gap Park - Buchanan County:
Black-and-white Warbler         1


Sunday - April 14, 2002:

Guesses Fork - Buchanan County:
Black-and-white Warbler         5 (3 seen, 2 heard)
Black-throated Green Warbler    2 (heard only)
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher           1
Blue-headed Vireo               2  (best ever looks - 25 feet)
