[Bristol-Birds] Upper Douglas Lake, 12/9

Rankin Bottoms (RB) & Taylors Bend (TB; viewed from Baneberry, Jeferson County) Ice on the standing water, and unseasonable cold, but clear skies and extensive mudflats. Douglas Lake elevation - 955'. We spent a few hours at RB picking up litter, then looked over TB for a few minutes in the late afternoon.

Notable:

Great Blue Heron (24)
Great Egret (RB)
Red shouldered hawk (2, RB)
Killdeer (8, TB)
Least sandpiper (3, TB)
American pipit (22 RB, 4TB)
Wilson's snipe (RB)
Ring-billed gull (100+)
Yellow-bellied sapsucker (TB)
Hairy woodpecker (RB - my first definite sighting there)
