Karen,

We have permission to park on the loop at the end of McCorkle Rd in Baneberry 
(Google has a map), then we walk about 1 mile south along the lakeshore.  A 
couple of muddy stream crossings, but it's the best birding spot on Douglas 
Lake in the winter - photo shows a small sample.
