I made another trip to Rural Retreat Lake this morning (Sat), this is
the first chance I have had since I saw the Upland Sandpiper last Tues.
Today we found 3 birds in the same freshly cut corn field just west
of the entrance road to Rural Retreat Lake. I don't know whether
there were 3 birds there last Tues. or just the one bird I saw, but
today there were three seperate birds, usually associating with the
flock of Killdeer that is in the field gleaning the fresh cut corn.
As you leave the entrance road to Rural Retreat Lake going west, the
corn field on the right is where the birds are being seen.
