Tree Swallow - 12+
This establishes a new early arrival date for the 5-county area
of Northeast Tenn., breaking the old mark by 8 days.

In recent years, Tree Swallows have been arriving earlier & earlier.
The first edition of "The Birds of NE Tenn." (1984) listed the early date
as 8 March.  In the 14 years until the second edition (2008) that arrival
date was re-set at least 4 times. 

And, of course, there were the reports of Tree Swallows 2 days ago 
elsewhere in East Tenn. that were posted to this list.
