[Bristol-Birds] Re: TOS State Meeting at Bristol -- what a weekend !

Great summary of a great week. I got many notes of high praise from birders from across Tennessee about the TOS Spring Meeting in Bristol. They went to great places to bird --- including Waldo Miles and the La Quinta --- we had catbirds and grosbeaks in the pines there! I want to add that Ron Harrington was the lead on selecting the motel. I was really pleased with that site with the trees around it and being situated on a hill above the interstate, I don't think that I have been to a better looking interstate motel. They were also very complimentary of the meeting facility and arrangements at Waldo miles.

My thanks to those many members of the Bristol Bird Club for pitching in and making the meeting a success. I would like to especially thank Janice Martin for the long work on the registration, she and Mary Erwin for overseeing the hospitality and snacks for Friday nights reception, and Jacki Hinshaw for getting up to her elbows in dirt making the flower arrangements for the dinner.
