My colleague Debra Artrip (a biology teacher at PVHS) reported seeing a pair of
swallowtail kites near her home on the North Fork of the Clinch River on RTE
638 in Scott County Virginia. Rte 638 is near Duffield Va.

This morning on my bus run I saw a male belted kingfisher and an indigo
bunting. Last week I saw 8 turkey vultures feeding on a carcass beside the
road. Actually I had to sound the horn to get some of them out of the road.
