Subject: Mt. Rogers birding

Mr. Coffey - I work at the Smithsonian's Conservation and Research Center up
in Front Royal and got your name from Al Boynton with VDGIF. I'm currently
supervising a project surveying high elevation mountains throughout the
state for songbirds and will be spending the coming summer in the Mt. Rogers
area. My biggest stumbling block right now with the project is that I'm
having trouble finding experienced birders who can conduct point counts and
also handle a bit of hiking. I have funding to pay for two positions and
can also provide housing. Al suggested I ask if you knew of anyone who
might be interested to help out. I'm trying to find people to fill the
positions immediately so any help you could give would be appreciated.
Thanks -

Heather Lessig
