Area Birders:
Rob Biller's suggestion that we turn the Bristol Birds List into a local
Christma Bird Count weather watch ommunications for parties
going afield is a tremendous idea. This has wonderful potential for
all of our counts.
Compilers may post the weather outlook for their counts as they approach
and any notable conditions can be posted for everyone right up to the
hour of departure on the morning of each count (as needed).
I know the Shady Valley Count has been a real challenge some years
with a four-wheel drive needed to get atop Holston Mountain before
daylight.
Let's go for it.
>If they are calling for inclement weather (Shady Valley / Mountain City is
>above 2500') I will put out a message on BBC LISTSERV to keep everyone
>informed. Maybe I can come with a special buzz wave file (a la schools)

Let's go birding.......
