Ethel Faye Frasier Mason, age 83, formerly of Charlotte, N.C., died June 17, 2008, at the home of her daughter, Janice Martin, in Bristol Tennessee. Janice is the treasurer of the Bristol Bird Club. A service to celebrate her life was held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, with the Rev. Scott Price officiating. Interment followed in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Memorial services in Bristol will follow later. Mrs. Mason was born in Williamston, S.C., April 5, 1925, daughter of the late Raymond Hampton and Lelia Estelle Mayfield Kinard. She was a member of Westmoreland Baptist Church in Charlotte and attended Fellowship Church in Bristol Virginia. She was formerly with Pharr Yarns and was also a seamstress. Surviving are a daughter, Janice Martin and husband Fred of Bristol Virginia; grandchildren, Angela Frasier of San Francisco, Douglas Martin of Shepherdsville, Ky., and Steven Martin, Allen Martin and Richard Martin, all of Bristol Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Ashley Martin and Kristian Martin of Bluff City, Tenn., and Jonathan Martin of Shepherdsville; sister, Agnes Cothran of Belton, S.C.; and a brother, Joe Earle Kinard and wife Azalee of Williamston. Mrs. Mason was preceded in death by her first husband, Leroy Frasier; second husband, Walter F. Mason; and a son, Steven Lee Frasier. Active pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons.
