A little while ago, Ron Harrington noted that he was seeing red because
of the number of male Northern Cardinals in his yard. I have been having
some of that also. Yesterday I had 5 males at my backyard feeder. Today
was different. Went to the kitchen and glanced out the window to the
platform feeder and it was being swarmed by Red-winged Blackbirds -
15-20 males were feasting on the mix that I had put out in that feeder.
