Two Redheads (a drake and hen) showed up at the pond at Erwin Fishery
Park, Erwin, Unicoi County, TN, on Monday, Feb. 19. They are the first
good waterfowl sightings I have enjoyed at the pond this winter. And
they chose to visit with at least half the pond's surface frozen over.
I saw them about 11 a.m. among the Mallards and quasi-Mallards in
residence at the pond. Also present about 20 Canada Geese.
Bryan Stevens,
Hampton, TN
