Recent birds at Steele Creek Park in Bristol, TN include Greater White-fronted Goose: most days Green Heron: 5/5/07 Ruffed Grouse: 5/4 Black Vultures: (2) 5/4 Spotted Sanpipers: daily, (up to 8). Yellow-billed Cuckoo: 5/5 FOS, by Rudy Morales and Charlie Parker. Eastern Wood-Pewee: 5/5 FOS, by Rudy and Charlie. Great-crested Flycatcher: 5/5 Purple Martins: 5/5 Northern Parula: 5/5 FOS, by Rudy and Charlie. Yellow Warbler: 5/7 Chestnut-sided Warbler: 5/3 Yellow-throated Warblers: daily American Redstart: 5/3 FOS, 5/5. Ovenbirds: daily Hooded Warblers: daily Yellow-breasted Chat: 4/30 FOS by Charlie, 5/5 by Rudy and Charlie. Summer Tanagers: daily, 5/3 FOS. Baltimore Orioles: dailyOn 5/5/07 Rudy and Charlie were able to add 25 species to the 58 that were found on the TOS field trip for a total of 83 species in the park for the day. That's a record.
