[Bristol-Birds] Quarry Bog and Dicky Preserve BBC outing....

Various members of the Bristol Bird Club met at Quarry Bog on the
cold and windy Saturday during the annual Cranberry Festival in Shady
Valley, Johnson County, Tennessee.
After birding Quarry Bog, we made our way to the Dicky Preserve located
on the edge of the Cherokee National Forest in the Crandull Community.

The members included Diane Draper, Bill Grigsby, Don Holt, Fred
Martin, Janice Martin, and Chris O'Bryan.

        Quarry Bog:

Northern Harrier-1
Wood Duck-5
Red-tailed Hawk-1
Turkey Vulture-5
Wild Turkey-2
Sharp-shinned Hawk-1
Tennessee Warbler-3
Swamp Sparrow-5

        Dicky Preserve:

Eastern Pheobe-5
White-throated Sparrow-numerous
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker-1

Thanks to President Bill Grigsby, we all stayed warm with camp-stove
coffee and full with Janice Martin's supply cookies and the Shady Valley
Ruritan Club's polish sausages.
It was undoubtedly a great day of fellowship and birding.
