Birders:( Pine Sisken with a Broken Wing )
Yesterday on March 8, 2009 in our backyard in East Hamblen County East of
Morristown we had a Pine Sisken hopping around with a broken wing all day
yesterday and a sad story is that a unknown hawk I think it is a Cooper's or a
Sharp-shinned Hawk it did not have a solid white spot above its tail feathers
but it did have a four black stripes on its tail feathers caught the injuried
Pine Sisken also I saw 9 Black Vultures on Sat. Dark eyed Junco and yesterday
about 40 or more Common Grackles in our front yard and I have been seeing a
American Robin eating from the birdfeeders eating the fruit from the mixed
birdseeds and 3 Eastern BlueBirds showing up and I have put out a pop open
Bluebird bird house 1 1/2 '' entrance I got it on two poles in our front yard
so I can watch it from our living room window for bluebirds start nesting in
the bluebird bird house.
