[Bristol-Birds] Outer Banks Field Trip

Hello All! The Cape Hatteras Field Trip is pretty much in place now. We
will leave the Tri-Cities area on Friday (Oct 10) in the am and arrive in
Buxton
late in the afternoon. We will be staying in the Comfort Inn - Hatteras
Island in Buxton. The plan is to return home on Sunday or Monday depending on
your
schedule. I have arranged for special rates of $84.96/night (single or
double) if the room has no 60+ occupant and $79.96 (single or double) if there
is
at least one 60+ occupant. this includes a complimentary breakfast.
On Saturday (or Sunday if the weather is not good) we willbe on an all
day pelagic trip with the well known skipper/birder Brian Patteson. This
will take us well out into the Atlantic for a great birding opportunity. Fred
Alsop's group will be on the same voyage. The price for the pelagic trip will
be $130 for the entire day.
Which ever day, Saturday or Sunday, that we are not on the pelagic
trip, we will bird the Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge, Cape Hatteras and
other shorefront areas. We also hope to get in some shore birding after our
arrival on Friday and before our departure on Monday.
If you are planning to go, please let me know! I have reserved six
rooms but may be able to reserve additional ones if necessary.
