[Bristol-Birds] Orange-crowned Warbler (Greene Co., TN)

April 17, 2006

This evening at around 7:25, I found an Orange-crowned Warbler foraging along Brown's Bridge Road near Tusculum in Greene County.

In checking my records for the last twelve years, I discovered that today's date is right in line with others. OCWA is a rare-to-occasional species in Greene County, and I have few records for it in either spring or fall. However, it appears to be consistent in its northward migration through the county--all my spring observations have occurred between April 14 and April 20. Its fall migration is more drawn out--my Greene County records stretch from September 13 to October 16.
