Greeneville, Greene Co., TN
This morning I observed a Northern Waterthrush near the YMCA in
Greeneville, along a small tributary of Richland Creek. This tiny
stream, hardly noticeable to passersby, offers fresh water, thick cover,
and various food sources in the valley below Barton Ridge and has proven
to be an urban treasure of sorts. I have found quite a few winter
residents and transients along this stream and make a special point of
checking it out a few times a year.
