I spent some time on the Greenbelt on Friday checking out the
Red-Shouldered Hawk. Also heard Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers in addition
to normal birds.

Best of the day was a new yardbird. Had a Dark-eyed Junco feeding on
niger seed under the finch feeder. Also had American Goldfinches,
Eastern Towhees (pair), Red-bellied Woodpecker, Blue Jays, Great Blue
Heron (flyover), House Finches, and a female Purple Finch.
