[Bristol-Birds] More Birdwatching at Dutch and Rankin Bottoms in Cocke County

Birders:( More Birdwatching at Dutch and Rankin Bottoms in Cocke County )


This morning on Sept. 10, 2005 Shane and Dennis Adams went birdwatching at 
Dutch and Rankin Bottoms in Cocke County and here is more lists of good birds 
we saw today they are from both places: 2 American White Pelicans swimming at 
the far  mud flats left of the road and 1 American White Pelican flying left of 
Dutch Bottoms, 12 or more Great Blue Herons, Great White Egrets,Double Crested 
Cormorants at Rankin including at Dutch Bottoms, 12 Killdeers at Rankin and 2 
Killdeer at Dutch Bottoms, 2 Black Crowned Night Herons one pass the Coal 
Tipple near railroad tracks and rocks on the left of the road and second one 
flying towards the French Broad River in front of Coal Tipple,2 Green Backed 
Heron or Green Herons on the both sides of the coal tipple, 1 Peregrine Falcon 
flying right of the coal tipple, 1 Blue-Winged Teal ( Hen ) on the back side of 
the coal tipple at the mud flats next to the railroad tracks and left of the 
road including the Herons and Egrets also in front of coal tipple on both side 
of the road also including up and down the far mud flats and flying from the 
French Broad River and standing on the banks of the French Broad River.
