Recent birds at Steele Creek Park in Bristol, TN include
8/21/06 Wood Duck, Green Heron, Black-crowned Night-Heron.
8/22 Belted Kingfisher, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Wood Duck.
Summer Tanager with Bryan Stevens, Gilbert Deroun, Reece Jamerson,
and Jean Potter.
8/23 (2 adult) Black-crowned Night-Herons, Spotted Sandpiper, Pied-billed
Grebe with Jeremy Stout.
(3) Ruffed Grouse by Jeremy Stout.
8/24 MERLIN, Pied-billed Grebe, Black and White Warbler with Jeremy Stout.
The Merlin appears to be a park record and is rarely seen in August
around here.
