Hi Birders and Hawk Watchers.

Hawks continue to come by the Mendota Tower on Clinch Mountain in good
numbers. Ron Harrington, Ed Caudill and Roger Mayhorn manned the post on 9/24,
and
Larry McDaniel and Bob Riggs provided the coverage on 9/24. Four Red-headed
Woodpeckers were seen on 9/24, the first for the season. A Golden Eagle was
reported by some observers down at the tower road, but not yet confirmed.
