Tom Hunter, Tom Parker, Allen Gill and I had another good day at the Mendota
tower today, September 18, 2008. Dr. Steven Hopp, Emory and Henry College, and
six students from his Wildlife Monitoring Class were present for about three
hours. Here are the numbers for today as well as the totals year-to-date (Note:
the YTD does not include numbers for September 14 and 16. These should be
available tomorrow).
Species 9-18-08 YTD
Broad-winged hawk: 748 2542
Am. Bald Eagle: - 10
Osprey: 1 7
Sharp-shinned hawk: 1 7

Catch the fever and help keep the tradition alive. There should be some good
flights the next two or three days.
For directions, go to the Bristol Bird Club web site and click on "Birding
