Eric and I walked the southern end of the linear trail in Erwin late this
morning. The following species were seen:

Canada goose
Mallard
Wood duck
Great blue heron
Turkey vulture
Red-bellied woodpecker
Downy woodpecker
Phoebe
Red-eyed vireo
Crow
Titmouse
White-breasted nuthatch
Carolina wren
Bluebird
Robin
Catbird
Mockingbird
Cedar waxwing - numerous!
Tennessee warbler - many!
Parula warbler
Magnolia warbler
Cape May warbler
Hooded warbler
Song sparrow
Cardinal
Goldfinch

If we had started earlier I am sure we would have seen more species.
