While investingating an apparent window strike (no remains found), I
observed a young American Redstart and a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. The
redstart showed the plumage of a 1st spring male according to the
National Geographic Complete Birds of North America. Is this a hatching
year bird or a 2007 hatched bird that won't get the complete male
plumage until its 2nd spring?
