On Saturday, March 10, I counted 15 Great blue heron nests on the Little Pigeon River at the junction of Highway 66 and Highway 338 near Sevierville. DeLorme shows this area as Sanders Islands. There were 12-15 herons standing in or near the nests. Mary Jane Erwin Kingsport
