Drove thru a bit of Hawkins County before work this morning hoping I might
spot a harrier. I drove along Christian's Bend Road and Miller's Bluff Road
(basically across the river from Phipp's Bend). Never saw a harrier, but I
had two Red-shouldered Hawks in two separate locations. Then, as I was
coming back from lunch today, I spotted another Red-shouldered Hawk sitting
near the top of a tree along Netherland Inn Road just downstream from the
Riverfront Restaurant in Kingsport. Along with David Hunt's birds, I guess
it's been a pretty good raptor morning in the Kingsport area. Photos of the
hawk and other stuff at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ricksphotos0501/ .
