[Bristol-Birds] Great Weather for the Bog Watch Saturday

Make your plans. The rain (Hoo Rah!) is upon us, but it will be decreasing just as we gather at Quarry Bog. We will be experiencing "Occasional" precip from now until Friday midnight, then "Likely" until Saturday 5:00 AM, a "Chance" from 5:00 AM until about noon, then a "Slight Chance" for the rest of the day. This is according to the National Weather Service Hourly Weather Forecast Graph.

The accumulation predicted from now to Saturday 2:00 AM is 1.36 inches with an additional 0.16 from then until 2:00 PM. A great boost to the local water table, but not much while we will be birding the bog. Might be a good idea to bring some boots or waders, if you want to explore the bog.

I will bring a dining fly to put up. This will give us some shade or some cover if there is slight precipitation. Note that I said it is a dining fly. I will have the stove with coffee, bring some treats.
