[Bristol-Birds] Goshawks

I went outside this morning (2-10) to check a banding net in my yard.
Two pine siskin were sitting on the ground in front of me trying to look
invisible. Not unusual behavior for them. I then heard a loud
accipiter call. Probably what the siskins were trying to be
unnoticed by. As I started looking for the accipiter, I noticed 3 large
accipiters
approaching from the south flying north. I did not have my binoculars with me.
They were larger than a crow with long tails.
All were the same size. They were 200 to 300 foot in the air.
At least 2 of them were giving a loud hoarse accipiter like call
that was different from any sound I have ever heard a cooper's give. They were
calling the
entire time I watched them. After they had pasted, I immediately went to the
computer
and played the calls of the goshawk and cooper's hawk. The calls I heard
matched the Goshawk exactly. The Goshawk's appeared to be just moving through.
I will keep an eye out for them, though.
