Hi All,
Yesterday, the 26th, the migration continued here on Compton Mt with 50 species
counted in the yard. The most exciting bird of the day was a beautiful adult
male, Golden-winged Warbler, that came in to bathe in the stream. Eight other
warbler species here were Bay-breasted, Black-and-white, Cape May, Common
Yellowthroat, a juvenile male Hooded Warbler, Nashville, Palm Tennessee and
Yellow-throated Warbler.
Vireo species coming through were Warbling, Yellow-throated and Red-eyed.
A Gray-cheeked Thrush, as well as Wood Thrushes, and Swainson's Thrushes were
all here with Swainson's outnumbering the others by far.
Both male and female Rose-breasted Grosbeaks continue to feed and bathe through
along with flocks of Gray Catbirds.
