Over the last 10 days I have been sighting Golden
Eagles in the Corn Valley area of the county. On Nov
30, I saw 3 and on Dec 1 Laverne and I saw one very
close. It was a juvenile and was hunting the north
side of Corn Valley Road about a half mile from he end
of the road.
Yesterday I saw a 2nd year bird in the same area. It
crossed the road from S to N at tree top level. I also
saw a Red-shouldered Hawk sitting on a power line over
the creek just before the intersection of Rt 80 and
Corn Valley Road. It sat there for several minutes
whil I watched it from the truck parked across the road.
