[Bristol-Birds] Fox Sparrow At Feeder

While counting birds at my feeding station for the Cornell FeederWatch on
Tuesday, November 21, I had one Fox Sparrow drop in for a brief visit. My
attention was drawn to the bird when I saw dirt and leaves flying everywhere
near
the base of one feeder. The bird did not stay very long and has not been back.
This is the first of this season and the first since February of 2005, at which
time I had two.

Also making another visit was an immature Cooper's Hawk, which appeared
frustrated after making a run and coming up empty. It fretted for a while at
the
water pan, getting its tail wet in the process, then wondered off. The bird was
observed in a similar situation last week.

Happy Thanksgiving!!
