Bristol Area Birders,
I went fly fishing at a local stream today and while I was fishing I was
watching and listening for birds. I saw and heard two Broad-winged Hawks,
one beautiful Red-tail, a Louisiana Waterthrush, a Belted Kingfisher, a
Great Blue Heron, a female Redstart, an Ovenbird, a couple of Carolina
Wrens, a couple of Tufted Titmice, a Hooded Warbler,a Scarlet Tanager, an
Indigo Bunting, a Red-eyed Vireo and a Northern Cardinal. It was nice
combining wading, fishing and birding on a hot day.
I would have had more birds but left my binos in the Blazer.
Enjoy the warblers. They will be leaving soon. Ceruleans and Redstarts start
migrating this month.
