[Bristol-Birds] First Wilson's Warbler in Buchanan County

Area Birders,
This evening (9/07/05) as I passed by our kitchen window, I glanced out as I
usually do, to see if there were any interesting birds near our feeders or in
our little pond stream. I saw what I thought was a female Hooded Warbler. I
checked with the binos, and just got a glimpse of black on the top of the
bird's head before it dived into the azalea bush.

I grabbed the camera and waited. The bird finally moved from the azalea bush to
a Viburnum (Snowball Bush). It still wanted to stay hidden, but it finally
appeared for a couple of seconds, which gave me the chance to get a couple of
photos. It was an adult male Wilson's Warbler, a species that to my knowledge,
had never been previously recorded within Buchanan County.
