A friend of a friend called to ask about a strange-looking dove that was
coming to their feeder. Turns out to be an Eur. Collared-Dove, the
first for the county. This is relatively close on the heels of 1+ in
neighboring Greene County this summer (their first) as this invader
begins to get a toe-hold in upper East Tenn.
The Washington Co. bird was on Matthew's Mill Rd., about 5 or 6 miles
west of Jonesborough & south of Hwy. 11-E.
