[Bristol-Birds] Elizabethton Bird Club nightjar surveys

At 7 pm Saturday, 17 MAY 2008, anyone interested in participating in the 2008 Nightjar Survey in northeastern Tennessee can meet in Elizabethton at Primo's Restaurant (across the main intersection from Walmart). We will eat and go over the protocols and organize group leaders and teams to survey three routes: 1. Fish Springs / Little Stony ... 2. Cherokee School... 3. Milligan / Toll Branch. Weather allowing, we will then conduct the surveys, or if the weather is not conducive, plans will be made for a later date or dates. The procedures are not difficult, and no experience is required to participate with a group. A complete route consists of ten six-minute listening stops along a 10 mile route, and should take roughly a couple of hours. Call me if you have questions. (423) 483-0470
