[Bristol-Birds] Elizabethton Bird Club field trip

The Herndon Chapter of TOS (Elizabethton) will meet for a birding field trip 8 AM Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the parking lot of the Elizabethton campus of Northeast State Technical Community College. From Hwy 19E just north of the Food City in Elizabethton take Hwy 91 east toward Shady Valley (up Stoney Creek). Just after you reach the Elizabethton Municipal Airport ( on your left) look for the BP gas staion on your right. Turn right just before the BP station. The college parking lot 
will then be on your immediate right.
The plan was to bird in Shady Valley and the South Holston Lake area. Road conditions will be assessed when we meet for final decisions on the itinerary. Area lakes have been drawing in good waterfowl recently. Bring your scopes and dress warmly.
