[Bristol-Birds] Elizabethton Bird Club canoe trip

Hey folks,
I have a half dozen canoes with lifejackets and paddles loaded and ready to go for our canoe trip at Rankin Bottoms on Sunday afternoon. Counting myself there are 10 people who said they were planning to go. I can make room for a few more folks if anyone wants to join us. I need to receive confirmation from those already signed up, and newcomers as well, by e-mail before 8 pm Saturday. I will be on Roan Mtn all day Saturday and probably out of phone range, but I can be called in the early evening preferably before 10 pm at (423) 483-0470. The group will rendezvous at the garden center parking area of K-mart in Johnson City at 1:30 pm Sunday for the drive to Douglas Lake. Michael Sledjeski and Leslie Gibbens will meet us at the put-in. Bring water and whatever snacks you require, sunscreen, hats, and whatever protection you need for your gear. There is plenty of room in the canoes, a small cooler can be accomodated. We will try to finish by a reasonable hour for suppertime, but canoe-time is somewhat imprecise.
