[Bristol-Birds] Elizabethton Bird Club Field Trip

Despite the cold temperatures, the Herndon Chapter of TOS had 12
participants and found 44 species of birds during our field trip Nov. 22.
Club members attending were Don Holt, Dianne Draper, Rick Knight, John Haye,
Eric and Kathy Noblet, Mary Anna Wheat, Roy Knipsel, David Hunt, Rob Biller,
and Brookie and Jean Potter.
Places visited were South Holston Weir Dam, Musick's Campground, Middlebrook
Lake, and Paddle Creek ponds. Rob Biller found 3 Eared Grebes at Washington
County Park across from Musick's.
The highlight of our trip was seeing the Selasphorus Hummingbird at the home
of Eric and Kathy Noblet, who graciously invited us into their home to view the
hummingbird from their kitchen window.
