[Bristol-Birds] Dutch Bottoms 8/25/07

By canoe, 5:00-7:30 PM

Shorebirds were dispersed over a couple of miles of mudflat edge. The peeps were particularly hard to distinguish & enumerate, so my numbers are very approximate.

Greater yellowlegs (2)
Lesser yellowlegs (42)
Willet (2)
Spotted sandpiper (2)
Peeps (200+; semipalmated, western, and least in roughly equal proportions)
Pectoral sandpiper (42)
Stilt sandpiper
Short-billed dowitcher (16)
Wilson's phalarope - (2)
